Apple Inc. has secured Simplo Technology Co. and Dynapack International Technology Corp. in supplying the battery packs modules for the upcoming iPad 3 according to Taiwan Economic News. The new battery module features slimmer and thinner as well a longer service life. It will also required to meet CTIA IEEE 1625 standard for better quality and safety reliability which is must standard for U.S. As the result the new battery is believed to be priced 20-30% higher than the current iPad 2.

A dare conclusion that the thinner, lighter battery allow to conserved space for a new high resolution display, a Retina Display screen perhaps?

The new iPad 3 will be expected to launch early next year.
