Ovi MapsBeta V3.04, All About Performance

After announced with Free Walk & Drive Navigation to all Nokia GPS devices with the new all new Ovi Maps V3.03. Nokia Betalabs has released a new beta and it all about performance improvement.



These are the improvement over the previous release V3.03

Improved positioning speed and accuracy
Map zooming with faster speed
Improved search for cities with zoom out to city level

This update are available for Nokia S60 3rd and 5th with GPS enable devices and ready to be download at Nokia Betalabs.

hello,
what u mean by "Free Walk & Drive Navigation".. coz when i check.. everytime i on the map, the bill is increasing.. can u explain more?

Free Walk & Drive Navigation mean it no charges apply for it but u have to make sure u r running it in offline mode and download the necessary maps of the country.

I believe the charges applied onto ur bill was the maps download/online search and A-GPS (hardly use alot data 4~7kb only).

Hope this can clear up ur question :)

hi,

i did make sure it running offline. and i already install the latest map. but everytime i use it, i see it charging.. can u help me how to make it not charging..?

How much are the data usage of the navigation? less than 10kb? That's probably the A-GPS has been enabled for faster GPS lock.

If you have changed the search to offline and disabled the A-GPS, there won't be any data used.

hmm.. how to disable the A-GPS? im not sure hw many byte has been use.. got to for my bill... :)
