Last Wednesday I were given an opportunity by Nokia Malaysia to have a hands-on the Nokia Asha 311 which added another Nokia Asha Full-Touch family.

Nokia Asha 311 is a feature phone with smartphone functionality but at feature phone's price tag.


Nokia Asha 311 features 3-inch WQVGA (240x400) capacitive screen with Gorilla Corning and Clear Black Display. It has a powerful 1GHz processor paired with 128MB of RAM running on Nokia Asha S40 OS. WiFi and Bluetooth are available on this device.

The UI on Asha 311 is very similar to Nokia Belle and MeeGo's OS, supporting application screen swiping and top-scroll down settings with notifications.

With every purchase of Nokia Asha 311, you are entitle 40 free premium EA games worth RM300 such as Need For Speed, Tetris, FiFa 10, The Sims and so on.


Angry Birds are supported on this device thanks to the powerful 1Ghz processor.

This device is targeted to budget consumer whom concern about call and data usages, Nokia is thoughtful enough to pre-install counters for Data, Calls, SMS and also MMS. You can set a quota for each and it will notify once it's exceed.

The Nokia Asha S40's browser is built with cloud acceleration and data efficient for better web browsing experience and lower cost.

ASUS Malaysia has just officially announced ASUS PadFone availability in Malaysia and selling at the price of RM2,399. ASUS PadFone is a combination of a smartphone (PadFone) and a tablet (PadFone Station)

With this you can have a smartphone and a tablet on a single mobile data.



ASUS PadFone has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display, powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz Dual-core processor and run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. On the rear it has a 8MP f/2.2 camera.

It can be combine with PadFone Station and transformed to a 10.1-inch Android Tablet. The PadFone Station has a 10.1-inch IPS display with 1280x800 resolution and it comes with a front 1.3MP camera. In addition, it works as a battery pack that charges the PadFone while docked.

There are optional keyboard dock which comes with battery and a pen stylus that can be use as headset. The stylus headset is price tagged at RM179 whereas the keyboard dock pricing is yet to confirmed.
