Apple has just announced an event to show off the company's next generation iPad. Invitation were sent out to the media with the posted image above.
The event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco at 10am on Wednesday, 7th of March 2012 (Which is 8th of March 2012, 2am in Malaysia time +8 GMT)
There is no words of what's the changes will have on this new iPad, some guessing it will have a faster processor (Quad-core), high density display and more. Will it be called iPad 3? iPad 2S? Apple really good in covering.
From the image above, you can see the iPad has a missing home button. Does it mean, no more home button from now on? This is just a wild guess.
The successor of the Nokia N8, the Nokia 808 PureView has caused a stir at the Mobile World Congress 2012 after announced it's camera sensor whopping up to 41 megapixel.
Some are doubt on the camera sensor of producing such high megapixel images.

The Nokia PureView tease revealed. Today Nokia at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona has announced the imaging flagship phone, a true successor of the Nokia N8, the new Nokia 808 PureView.
Nokia 808 PureView has the top-notch Carl Zeiss camera sensor that can shoot up to 41 megapixels still images. It can shoot full HD 1080p video recording and playback with 4x lossless zoom. This is the world's first use of Nokia Rich Recording that enable audio recording at CD-levels of quality.

The Nokia 808 PureView will be expected to arrive in May at the price of €450.

HTC has just announced HTC One V at Mobile World Congress 2012.
The HTC One V is positioning at the affordable price tag of the HTC One range devices. It runs on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0.

SONY has just announced a new Android Smartphone, Xperia U at Mobile World Congress 2012.
The Xperia U has the same outlook as the Xperia S with interchangable colour caps at the bottom edge.

Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Tab 2, a replacement model for the 1st 7-inch Galaxy Tab.
The Galaxy Tab 2 will be preloaded with the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of box and will come with WiFi and WiFi+3G versions.
It's quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy 7 Plus but with lower specification. The Galaxy Tab 2 will be packed with a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, a VGA front camera and a 3MP rear camera. It uses the same 7-inch PLS TFT LCD screen which similar to the current Galaxy 7 Plus.
Other than that, it will have Samsung TouchWiz UI screen with Live Panel, HSPA+ support, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0. A-GPS, microSD card slot and a 4,000mAh battery.

The update is available for the Nokia N8, E7, X7, C7, C6-01, Nokia Oro and soon in few weeks Nokia 500.

No word from Nokia Malaysia on the price tag but according to MalaysianWireless's source, the new Nokia Lumia 800 has set the price at RM1,650 whereas the Nokia Lumia 710 will be RM999.
No announcement from the Telco on contract tier with the new Nokia Lumia yet but Maxis is now supporting Windows Phone Marketplace purchase in Malaysia with payment via Maxis phone bill. Celcom has also confirmed to enable operator billing for Windows Phone Marketplace before the Nokia Lumia launch.
Starting from yesterday, 1st February 2012. Swisscom mobile offers HD Voice calls to Nokia Lumia 800's owners.
According to the Swisscom, HD Voice is a new audio technology that noticeably improve speech reproduction quality on the smartphone and largely eliminates background noise, especially when in a loud environment.
HD Voice is absolutely free of charge and is preinstalled and does not need to be activated by the customer. The requirement is the persons at both ends of the connection are customers of Swisscom and the entire call is conducted on Swisscom's 3G network.
